It is my pleasure to welcome you to the closest thing to coming into our store – Epicurean Crafts on the Internet. First let me begin by describing where we are and then provide you with specific details about our product lines. The shop is located in a historic town in Virginia called Occoquan. "Occoquan" is derived from a Dogue Indian word meaning "at the end of the water." The town is located along the Occoquan River, 11 miles south of the Capital Beltway on I-95 (South) – near Washington DC. Take exit 160 onto Rt. 123 North, go 1/2 mile to the Occoquan Town entrance (make left at light). We have over 1300 square feet of space filled with hand-crafted collectibles made by more than 80 crafters located around the country. Crafts range from small decorative wall quilts to table runners, quilted pins, and coasters to lovely applique/quilted sweatshirts. We carry many other types of hand-made crafts such as ceramics, tole painting, dolls etc., just to name a few. Please check our main url links to see the products currently offered on the web. We also have a wide variety of commercial merchandise for sale, including Jim Shore's Enesco Line, Collectibles (such as Blue Sky, Wee Forest Folk etc.) fabric lines from Moda, South Seas, Benartex, Monarch, and Cranston featuring Nancy Halvorsen, Kathy Schmidt, Sandy Gervais, Mary Engelbreit, Robyn Pandolph, and Debbie Mumm. We LOVE all of the designers we represent and we carry many of their license products including patterns and books and framed art work. We sell Chenille and Chenille by the Inch, hand dyed wool and all kinds of wool, prairie clot and Sandcastle Quilts Stitchery Fabrics too. We carry all kinds of penny rug patterns, Punchneedle and stitcheries Patterns too. We carry a wide variety of patterns from the following designers: Bareroots; All thru the Night; Serendipity Gifts; Meme's Quilts; Threads that Bind; Fiber Mosaics; Caught Up In Stitches; Mulberry Folk Art; and Mother Earth and Me. We carry books from the following companies: Need N' Love, Art to Heart, Fiber Mosiacs, and other companies representing several popular designers. We also carry kits - for rug hooking, penny rungs, quilts and patterns. We teach quilting, rug-hooking, punchneedle, stitchery (Bareroots Patterns) and sweatshirt (Serendipity Gift Patterns) classes. Frosty bones comes in a box of 13 – a barker’s dozen (to/from label on box and wrapped with ribbon, tips are frosted with a vanilla sugar coating – dogs just LOVE ‘em and we guarantee them!! The shop is opened six days a week (during January - end of March) and our hours are Tuesday - Friday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the weekends, Saturdays are open from 11:00 to 5:30 and Sundays hours are 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. I hope you enjoy your visit and please continue to visit the site often – as we are always adding new products!
