A note about Deb...

Deb Strain has become one of the best known and collected folk artists in the world. Deb's images are seen on cards, calendars, fabrics, prints and other home decorating items. Her art reflects her environment and is gathered from a variety of sources. "I am continually collecting ideas and images from nature, antique shops, friends, and from my own memory. A painting is usually constructed from several scraps of ideas and then carefully pieced together to make a whole," she says, "similar to old quilts and I have come to treasure". An art teacher for nine years, Deb now devotes herself full time to the development of her art. She lives with her husband and three children in a Saltbox home need Gettysburg, Ohio.
